And it’s for good reason. The club is one of the most important cultural hubs in London, and it will be sorely missed. Fridays were the home to some of the most forward-thinking music in the UK, so – to pay a small tribute to the venue – we asked noted grime photographer Vicky Grout to share some of her favourite Skilliam, Swindle, Mumdance and Parris last year. It’s still one of my favourite fabric lineups to this day. James Gould was a G and let me borrow one of his cameras for the night. I wasn’t told Craig David was going to be the special guest until about half an hour before, so I was running around screaming. It was for the 10th Butterz at fabric with TQD, Elijah &amp; Skilliam, Swindle, Frisco, Flowdan, Rude Kid and Jack Dat. I was actually only there for fun and vibes and promised myself I wouldn’t take any pictures for once, but of course I got on a wave and ended up getting my camera out every five seconds. The outcomes were interesting!
