Peppered with collaborations between local heroes, institutions and labels, alongside a roster of world-class heavyweights, the programme featured a lecture from Skepta plus a blowout Tropical bash right after. There was also a night of techno excellence at Sankeys, with bass boss Zed Bias taking the stage with a cohort of local heroes. To cap things off, PRhyme (AKA Royce Da 5’9” and DJ Premier) hosted a workshop before playing with dancefloor apostles Jazzy Jeff and Todd Terry.
